Despina City - Italo Calvino

Illustration inspired by the chapter 'Despina City' of the book The Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. This tale describes a dual city that, depending on who is approaching to it, appears to that person as a dessert or as an island made by camel humps. The idea was to make a triptych of Postal Cards, the kind one can get when visiting the city.
