The Xinjiang Police Files are an extensive leak of documents, images, speeches and spreadsheets that provide a groundbreaking view into the internment camps, where an estimated of 1 to 2 million Uyghurs are said to be detained. Der Spiegel, along with international partners like the BBC and Le Monde, analyzed over 10 gigabytes of files from inside re-education camps, and published a series of articles in May 2022, both in print and online. In cooperation with its German partners, including Bayerischer Rundfunk and Tagesschau (ARD), I developed at Der Spiegel a visual concept and compiled a brand manual to ensure the consistency of the project's visuals across all media and partners. This Project was awarded the Red Dot Design Award
